Mark Huff Joins Xtreme Intent as Lead Vocalist.
Xtreme Intent announced today that Mark Huff has joined as lead vocalist. Huff, who fronted Quiet Riot, most recently working with Dark Mile alongside former Dio guitarist Tracy G, is now tracking vocals for the band's third album, X3 Shake Well Before Opening, due Fall 2026.
Xtreme Intent was founded in 2022 by songwriter Chris Grove, a veteran of Elysium, 21 Feet, and Spilkit, who wrote, performed, and produced the band's first two albums himself. The catalog reached #1 on the hard rock charts and has held chart positions for three years without label support or paid promotion.
“Bringing Mark in was a creative decision rooted in friendship. We've talked music for years. The first time we worked these songs together, the chemistry was obvious. X3 is Xtreme Intent with Mark out front, and the sound has evolved.”
Huff's career includes a European tour supporting Slayer and Accept during his Quiet Riot tenure and an appearance in the documentary Well Now You're Here, There's No Way Back. His 2024 work with Dark Mile drew coverage across the international rock press.
“I wanted a project where the songs came first. Chris writes music that means something, and these new tracks hit hard. I'm all in.”
The band is preparing for live dates, with an announcement expected soon, including a headline appearance in Huff's hometown of The Dalles, Oregon.
